Inspired by the accurate, water-resistant timepieces Bulova had been supplying to the U.S. military for years, the original watch designed for diving featured a bi-color unidirectional elapsed time bezel. Stating its water resistance on the dial as “666 feet” rather than “200m” earned the timepiece its memorable nickname, “Devil Diver”. Now a bold Archive Series Oceanographer limited edition bracelet watch will be available in the fall of 2018. Each of the 666 individually numbered pieces in the edition features a fine Swiss automatic day/date movement, black/white bezel and commemorative bright orange dial. A second automatic Oceanographer model sporting a black/red bezel and black dial with date is also being introduced. Both watches are marked water resistant to 666 feet.
