The Plumb Club Industry & Market Insights from 2025 illustrated a significant uptick in consumer awareness and desire for clarity and understanding of responsible business practices and traceability in the jewelry category. From ethical sourcing to traceability, the increase in importance to the consumer rose 7% and 8% respectively over a similar survey only 2 years earlier. In addition, more consumers were willing to pay significantly extra for products that ensured these characteristics. Additionally, fewer consumers said that they would make the purchase without verification.
