Direct From Consumers: What and Why They Buy!

A Retailer Focused Webinar Based Upon Current Research by The Plumb Club

New York – The jewelry customer is changing and The Plumb Club is pleased to present important retailer learning on what consumers want when shopping for jewelry and why they buy.  Retailers can get a “true read” on who is walking in their door and what triggers their purchases.

The information shared, direct from consumers, comes from the most current research and consumer survey initiated this year by The Plumb Club. This virtual presentation is open and free to the entire jewelry and will be hosted by INSTORE Magazine on Tuesday, May 20th at 1pm EDT.

Attending retailers will receive valuable insights into their customer’s perceptions about jewelry, what they spend, what influences their choices and, most importantly, the elements that prompt a customer to make the purchase. The webinar will focus on the US jewelry consumer’s mindset and opinions as a result of the most current survey. Some topics to be covered will be consumer spending, the impact of inflation, perception of lab-grown gems, online habits and what customers want from the stores they shop in.

A panel of experienced jewelry veterans for this webinar will include:

  • Lawrence Hess has spent his entire life in the jewelry industry. Professionally, he has had a career of over 40 years, spanning many disciplines, including manufacturing, sales, retail, product development, gemstone procurement and business management. • Jordan Peck is COO at Brevani, a second-generation jewelry brand based in NYC. He is deeply committed to the growth of the jewelry industry through collaboration, sustainability, and technology that will bridge the gap to the next generation of jewelers and consumers. He currently is a member of the RJC Global Task Force, President of the NY Jewelers Group, and Chair of The Plumb Club’s Market Research Committee.
  • Michael O’Connor has a career in the jewelry industry that spans over 40 years, starting out as a jewelry designer. Today he is a marketing and public relations executive, jewelry expert, celebrity stylist and television host. The panel will be moderated by Trace Shelton of INSTORE Magazine.
